Territorial Generating Company

Installation of 2.5 MW turbogenerator unit

One of the territorial generating companies approached RUSTRADE LLC with a question: is it possible to install a steam turbine with a generator into an existing heat network.

The TGC produced superheated steam, then reduced it to the parameters required by the end customer. Ideally, it was necessary to obtain 2.5 MW power to fully cover their electricity needs.

1

Reduce electrical power consumption costs

2

Obtain 2.5 MW power to fully cover own needs

Based on the survey and calculations, RUSTRADE LLC specialists managed to fully meet the customer's needs.

In the initial proposal with existing steam parameters, the STU reached 2.1 MW power. Since the objective was a 2.5 MW STU, it was decided to calculate a high-efficiency backpressure turbine, which achieved the required 2.5 MW power through reaction blading.

With 8,760 operating hours for TGC and electricity tariff of 4 RUB/kWh, the customer saves 87,600,000 rubles per year. The cost of the backpressure steam turbine with generator was 55,000,000 rubles.
